Kim Zolciak-Biermann and Kroy Biermann were forced out of their Georgia mansion by U.S. Marshals three months after they sold the property, according to legal documents obtained by PEOPLE.

The Alpharetta home, which has been a point of contention in Kim and Kroy’s ongoing divorce, officially sold for $2.8 million in January, property records state. Three months after the sale, the ex couple was “ejected” from their home by U.S. Marshals, per the writ of possession filed on April 9.

The document states the marshals were “commanded” to remove Kim, 47, and Kroy, 39, “with his/her property hereon from said house and premises and to deliver full and quiet possession” to the new owners.

According to the filing, the process took place between 3:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. local time on Tuesday, April 8. A representative for Kim had no comment on the situation.

On the same day they were ejected, Kim was selling furniture from their home on her Instagram Story, starting with her daughter Ariana Biermann’s bedroom set, PEOPLE previously reported.

“Ariana’s bedroom furniture is for sale, $10,000 hand painted perfect condition,”  the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum captioned a photo of a fully furnished colorful bedroom in their former home.

According to her post, the furniture was originally purchased for $43,657. She also noted that the pieces were available for “pick up only,” including the canopy platform bed, a set of sky blue dressers, a multi-colored wardrobe, a white desk with a cheetah-clothed chair and other decor items.

Along with 23-year-old Ariana — who Kroy legally adopted along with her older sister Brielle, 28, in July 2013 — the former couple share four more children together: Kroy “KJ” Jagger Jr., 14, Kash Kade, 12, and twins Kaia Rose and Kane Ren, 11.

The sale of the property came one month after the Bravo star and former NFL player saw their home facing foreclosure and being put up for public auction.

According to a notice obtained by PEOPLE at the time, the property was slated for auction on Dec. 3, 2024 by Truist Bank, and it also appeared on the Fulton County foreclosure list at the time.

The home was also set for public auction after they defaulted on a $1.65 million loan in February 2023. However, a source told PEOPLE a few days later that the estranged couple took “action to clear this up.”

The pair, who wed in November 2011, officially split up in May 2023 following 12 years of marriage.
