Jodie Turner-Smith shared a cryptic Instagram Stories post after Joshua Jackson filed a motion and request for an emergency custody order modification.
Days after Jackson, 46, filed a motion on Friday, May 30, alleging that his ex-wife, Jodie Turner-Smith, 38, had changed their 5-year-old daughter Juno‘s school without his permission, Turner-Smith went on her Instagram Stories to share an image of animated cartoon villains.
The image, originally posted on the @netflixnmovies account, read “‘Why don’t you like that person? They seem so nice.’ You know who else seemed to be nice.”

Turner-Smith wrote over the photo while sharing it on Monday, June 2, “🤦🏾♀️ stay safe out there ⚠️ .”
As previously reported by PEOPLE, in his declaration, Jackson claimed that Turner-Smith believes it’s “no big deal to force Juno to start over with a new school” and that he’s concerned that “Jodie is attempting to create a scenario where Juno travels with her rather than attending a traditional school.”
Jackson requested that the court order Juno to continue attending the school she has been attending for the next academic year. He also asked for joint consent with Turner-Smith for any subsequent school changes.
Reps for both Jackson and Turner-Smith did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s previous request for comment.
Turner-Smith filed for divorce in October 2023 after four years of marriage. They agreed to joint custody of their daughter and settled their divorce in May 2025, agreeing that Jackson would pay $2,787 in monthly child support.
At the time of the settlement, the two were unable to agree on where Juno would go to school.

Court documents obtained by PEOPLE show that Turner-Smith stated that after she and Jackson entered into a “stipulation and order to resolve the issue of selection of Juno’s school” in 2024, she had been granted the authority to “make the final decision” about her education. However, she would initially have to consult Jackson on the matter.
Jackson commented on how he plans to spend time with his daughter during the summer in a conversation with PEOPLE at the Karate Kid: Legends premiere in May.
