Todd Chrisley is not staying put after getting out of prison.
In a press conference on Friday, May 30, the newly freed reality star, 57, shared that he likely will be not be spending his time in Nashville, where he and his wife Julie, 52, have been staying with their daughter Savannah, 27, after being released from prison on May 28.
“Nashville will always hold a very special place in our heart. But we have other plans,” the Chrisley Knows Best star teased. “We’ll probably always have a presence here. I don’t know if we’ll be here full time.”
Todd and Julie were found guilty of tax evasion and bank fraud among other crimes in November 2022 and spent two years in federal prison before being granted a full pardon by President Donald Trump on May 27. The reality TV stars were originally sentenced to a combined 19 years and reported to prison in January 2023.
Savannah’s Nashville home, a 5,000 sq. ft. spread on half an acre in the Belle Meade area, was originally purchased for a reported $1.6 million by her parents when they moved the family from Atlanta to Tennessee, and was regularly featured in their reality show. As the series became more popular, the house began to attract unwanted attention from visitors, according to Realtor.com.
Julie reportedly purchased a new 12,000 sq. ft. home in Brentwood, Tenn. in April 2019 for $3.4 million. However, after a quick renovation, she placed the property back up for sale with a markup to $4.75 million just two months later.
The mansion, which features a wine cellar, rec room, indoor sports court, pool and outdoor kitchen, languished on the market as the family continued to live there. Julie eventually removed the listing after a year. In 2023, the house finally found a buyer and a deal was closed in an off-market transaction, per Realtor.

Elsewhere in Friday’s press conference Todd shared his initial disbelief at learning the news he would be freed.
“I had a staff member that came to me and said, ‘You’ve just been pardoned,'” he recalled. “And I just looked at him, and he says, ‘No, really, you’ve been pardoned. It’s in the news.'” Todd immediately called Savannah, who confirmed that it was true. “I remember walking back from the phone and just feeling numb, not really knowing,” he added.
Of his decision to pardon her parents, Trump told Savannah over the phone, “It’s a terrible thing, but it’s a great thing, because your parents are going to be free and clean… I don’t know them, but give them my regards and wish them a good luck.”

He added that Todd and Julie were “given a pretty harsh treatment, based on what I’m hearing.”
