A recent selfie sparked a wave of online speculation after the television personality revealed a dramatically different appearance.

Kelly Osbourne posted a photo to Instagram on May 22, 2025, capturing attention with what many fans described as a striking transformation. Although the image was intended to share a beauty moment gone unused, it quickly ignited widespread commentary questioning the reality star’s changing look.

Last week, the talk show host uploaded an image of herself on Instagram with the caption: “Sat through glam only to find that my day had been cancelled. #alldressedupandnowheretogo @kipzachary @chrisdylanx.”

The post appeared to show the star with enhanced facial features and a more sculpted appearance, prompting followers to immediately flood the comment section with remarks.

Netizens were quick to react to her look in the comment section. Many focused on her seemingly altered facial features. One person commented“She’s also had plastic surgery… she’s looks great though.” Another simply wrote“New face.”

There was confusion too, with one person asking“Who is this ?? [sic],” and another noting“Totally different face. My my my – what $$$$$ can buy 😂. [sic]”

Others acknowledged her appearance favorably, but still noted the change. “Wow!! You look incredible but I don’t recognise you . 🔥,” read one remark.

Some sounded more concerned or surprised, with one netizen expressing“You changed everything. You look like a different human. 🙁” and another adding“Unrecognizable…..”

Despite the flood of speculation, Kelly has previously denied ever going under the knife. In a 2024 interview with People, she expressed strong support for cosmetic surgery but said she personally hasn’t had any procedures beyond non-invasive options.

“I am a huge fan of plastic surgery,” she told the outlet. “What it does for people is amazing. It can change people’s lives and give them the confidence they’ve been lacking, and make people feel beautiful in the way they want to feel beautiful.”

She went on to explain her reasoning for avoiding more invasive options: “I’ve never done anything but Botox. I’m too scared.” The talk show host said her reservations stem from witnessing her mother, Sharon Osbourne, recover from multiple procedures.

“I watched my mom go through every recovery from everything she’s ever had done, and it looks awful,” she said, adding that Sharon once warned, “If you ever get plastic surgery, I’m moving far, far away because I won’t be able to handle your moaning.”

The singer and television personality acknowledged that her facial appearance has changed, but attributed it to dramatic weight loss following gastric sleeve surgery. The procedure helped her lose 85 pounds afterward. She also maintained she has never used Ozempic, a diabetes medication increasingly popular for weight loss.

Additionally, Kelly shared that she has undergone treatments such as EmFace and EmSculpt to help with loose skin, especially after giving birth to her son, Sidney, in 2023. She explained that these procedures use radio frequency and electromagnetic energy to lift skin and build collagen.

“I’m halfway through my four face sessions, and I’m noticing such a huge difference already,” she said,. “I might be slightly addicted to it.”

While Kelly has resisted surgical intervention, Sharon has long been open about her own experiences with plastic surgery. Her 2013 autobiography, “Unbreakable,” detailed decades of cosmetic procedures, from facelifts and Botox to a tummy tuck and breast implants.

She even had a double mastectomy after her implants leaked and a genetic test revealed a high cancer risk. Sharon once described how a neck lift gave her “the most fabulous décolletage,” but she later became more critical of cosmetic enhancements.

By 2021, she admitted to regretting facial surgery that left her looking like “Cyclops.” “Every time you go under the knife for vanity, you are slicing off yet more of your self-worth,” she wrote. Despite her pledge to stop, Sharon admitted that temptations persisted, and she found herself continually thinking about having just one more.

Sharon’s sense of self-image may have roots in her upbringing in the music industry, where, she said, being beautiful wasn’t valued unless accompanied by talent.

“I didn’t come from a family where they said, ‘Oh, have you seen my little princess?'” she recalled. “I was loved but… if you could sing, you had to sing brilliantly, and if you couldn’t you’d better find some other way of earning a living.”

While the internet debates her latest selfie, Kelly appears unfazed, enjoying the confidence that comes with owning her choices, both aesthetic and personal.
