A recent Shakira gig didn’t exactly go as planned.

During her Tuesday, May 20 concert, the “Hips Don’t Lie” hitmaker experienced a mishap while on stage at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec.

In fan-captured footage on X, Shakira — who is currently in the midst of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran Tour — can be seen slipping and falling on stage during a performance of her 2001 classic “Whenever, Wherever.”

The “Waka Waka” musician, 48, was swaying on stage — and about to start singing the first verse of the track — when she lost her balance, slipped and fell sideways on the ground.

However, Shakira gracefully stood up and continued her performance.

Following the incident, she shared the fall in a now-expired Instagram Stories post, per fan-captured footage on X.

Fans were quick to praise Shakira’s ability to return quickly to the concert after the mishap.

“she handled it like the boss that she is,” wrote one user on X.

Another person on the platform wrote: “A great example of resilience! I hope she didn’t get injured. Such falls cause pains and injuries the next morning”

“Mother,” another user simply wrote on X.

Shakira’s fall in Montreal isn’t the first mishap she’s experienced on her current tour.

In February, she had to cancel one of her concerts in Peru after she was hospitalized for an “abdominal issue.”

She was hospitalized on Feb. 15 and shared a statement the following day on Instagram Stories.

“I am sorry to inform you all that last night I had to go to the ER for an abdominal issue and am currently hospitalized,” she began the post, originally written in all caps.

Due to her doctors’ recommendation, she canceled her Feb. 16 show at the National Stadium of Peru — the first of two back-to-back shows in the capital city.

“I am very sad to not be able to take the stage today,” added Shakira, noting that she had “been looking forward to reuniting with my incredible fans here in Peru.”

She then stated that she would be “well” enough to be released from the hospital and “able to perform” at her second Lima show on Feb. 17.

Shakira then told fans that her “team and the promoters are already working on a new date to communicate to you.”

“Thank you all for your understanding, I love you all,” she concluded.

Shakira kicked off her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran Tour in Rio de Janeiro on Feb. 11.
