Fox News’ Peter Doocy & Hillary Vaughn Welcome Baby After 30-Hour Labor – First Pics Just Dropped
The Fox News couple had a memorable fourth anniversary this year — thanks to the arrival of their baby boy after a dramatic 30-hour labor.
Fox News correspondents Peter Doocy and Hillary Vaughn are now parents of two, welcoming their second child on April 16 in Washington, D.C. The couple shared the joyful news on Instagram and revealed more with People.

“Meet George Jack Doocy! Born after 30 hours of labor at 8lb, 11oz and 20.5 inches long — on our fourth wedding anniversary. So thank you, son, for being the reason I’ll never forget to get your mom a card when I’m grabbing a birthday card for you!” they wrote on social media on April 24.
Hillary, 35, was working on Capitol Hill covering Tax Day when she went in for a routine OB appointment. There, she found out baby George “was ready to come out.”

“Maybe he was tired of hearing me talk about taxes — I don’t blame him!” she joked. After 30 hours of labor, George made his entrance. She added with a laugh, “I’m glad Peter took care of our taxes early this year!”
Now a proud “boy mom,” she admitted there’s a learning curve. “Never let your guard down during diaper changes — otherwise you’ll be ‘baptized!'” she quipped.

Alongside the playful challenges of life with a newborn, the Fox Business correspondent shared the joy of watching her growing family come together. She described the moment her 2-year-old daughter, Bridget, met her baby brother for the first time.
“It has been such a blessing to welcome our son to this world, and it is just as special to see Bridget welcome her baby brother George,” Hillary said.

“Growing our family means giving our kids lifelong best friends, and as a new heartbeat fills our home, our hearts are filled with more love than ever before,” she added.
Her husband echoed those sentiments, adding that their daughter had a surprising knack for timing. “[She was] the person who came closest to guessing when George would arrive,” he said. “[She was] also the first person to sing Happy Birthday to him in the hospital.”

Peter’s father, “Fox & Friends” co-host Steve Doocy, shared a humorous behind-the-scenes story from the lead-up to George’s arrival. “Just before George was born, the whole family was on baby watch,” he recalled.
“I was watching Peter deliver a live report from the White House lawn when, out of nowhere, a dive-bombing bird smacked him in the head,” Steve continued.

He said he immediately woke his wife, Kathy, who paused before joking, “‘This bird that hit Peter — was it a stork?'” While Steve clarified that it was not, in fact, a stork, the timing couldn’t have been more symbolic.
“That night Peter went home, shampooed his hair to get the dirty bird out, and Hillary went into labor sometime after the cream rinse,” he joked. Now a grandfather of two, Steve is fully embracing the role.
He told People that his Instagram feed is now filled with sentimental videos of children running toward grandparents in slow motion. “But what I see beyond that is the unconditional love that the kids show to their grandparents and vice versa,” he said.
“Little do they know, as a grandparent, my job is to spoil them rotten the rest of their lives,” Steve added. Looking ahead, he imagines sweet rule-breaking moments with his grandson.
“I expect in the not too distant future I will have a conversation with young Mr. Doocy that goes something like, ‘George, when your parents come home tonight after work, there’s really no reason they need to know we had pie and ice cream for breakfast… again,'” he said with a grin.
As the Doocy family looks forward to building new memories with baby George, it’s clear that laughter and love have long been part of Peter and Hillary’s journey together.
That journey officially began in April 2021, when the couple tied the knot at Montage Palmetto Bluff in South Carolina. In an Instagram post from April 26, 2021, Hillary captioned a photo of the couple cutting their wedding cake, “Life with you takes the cake!”
The sweet image showed the two dressed in wedding attire — Hillary in an elegant long-sleeved lace gown and Peter in a classic navy tux — smiling as they sliced into a four-tier white cake surrounded by white florals.
Peter also shared a tender moment from the big day on his Instagram, posting a photo of the two beneath her veil with the caption, “She said ‘I DOocy’!”
The photo captured a candid exchange between the newlyweds, Peter smiling while Hillary playfully touches his nose, both visibly elated.
In September 2022, the couple shared with viewers of “Fox & Friends” that they were expecting their first child. The announcement came as a surprise on air, and it was met with excitement from their colleagues.
Their daughter, Bridget Blake Doocy, was later born in February 2023. Hillary introduced her to the world via Instagram on February 9, writing, “Welcome to the world, Bridget Blake Doocy!”
The accompanying photo showed her lying on a pink blanket, smiling lovingly at her newborn daughter, who was dressed in a pale pink sleeper with a matching headband.
Another photo showed the family of three together — Peter gently placing a hand on Bridget’s head while Hillary cradled her in her arms. The pastel setting, soft lighting, and joyful expressions reflected a tender moment of new parenthood.
Now, just over four years after their wedding, the couple’s family has grown by another tiny member. George Jack’s arrival on their fourth wedding anniversary added a poetic twist to an already meaningful date — one they’re unlikely to ever forget.
