Small plane crash flight path
Three people died when a small plane crashed on a road in southeast Florida on Friday morning, according to police and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The plane, a Cessna 310 aircraft, went down near the Boca Raton airport at around 10:20 a.m. local time, the agency told Fox News Digital.
Flight data from FlightRadar24 shows the aircraft made several circles in the airspace above Boca Raton Airport before ultimately crashing.
It crashed on N. Military Trail and caused at least one car to catch fire, images from the scene show. A driver was injured when he ran his car into a tree due to the debris and fire.

Images from the scene show the burned-out car pinned against two trees with the surrounding area doused in white foam. Debris from the plane can be seen strewn across the road.
Michael LaSalle, assistant fire chief for Boca Fire Rescue, said the aircraft “had apparently some mechanical issues.”
One man in the car suffered non-life-threatening injuries, LaSalle said.

It had just departed from Boca Raton airport and was headed to Tallahassee International Airport, the FAA said.
Boca Raton police confirmed an aircraft had crashed but did not provide further details.

Police closed N. Military Trail between NW 19th St. and Butts Rd. The I-95 overpass at Glades Rd. is also closed eastbound and westbound.

Police advised the public to avoid the area.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will lead the investigation in conjunction with the FAA, officials said.
The incident comes one day after six people died in a helicopter crash in New York City.
