Life-Threatening Tornadoes Tear Through 5 U.S. States — Videos
Severe storms moved through multiple states on Wednesday, producing several tornadoes that caused damage in affected areas and were captured on camera.
One of the most striking moments occurred in Lake City, Arkansas, where a large tornado crossed a road directly in front of storm tracker Brandon Copic. The scene, broadcast live on Fox Weather, showed swirling debris, flashing power lines, and fierce winds bending street signs.
A news anchor could be heard describing the tornado as a “monster.”
Fox Weather later shared another video showing a tornado in Potosi, Missouri, warning that severe weather continued to spawn tornadoes throughout the Midwest.
In Indiana, the National Weather Service issued a tornado warning on X for Brownsburg, Clermont, and Rocky Ripple, followed minutes later by an alert from the City of Carmel confirming a tornado on the ground. “Take shelter immediately,” the City of Carmel urged in a clear and timely alert aimed at keeping residents safe.
Radar-confirmed tornadoes were also reported in several areas of Oklahoma and Illinois. In Brownsburg, Indiana, a tornado partially destroyed a warehouse.
The outbreak, fueled by a clash between storm systems and record Southeast heat, is expected to continue. Cities from Dallas to Cincinnati remain under threat, with new storms forecast in northern Texas overnight.
Residents are urged to stay alert as conditions evolve.
