Meet Elizabeth Taylor’s 10 Grandkids — One of Them Inherited Her Famous Violet Eyes
The cherished Hollywood legend may be gone, but her family keeps her memory alive. Her grandchildren, especially, have shared memories that honor her life and legacy.
Elizabeth Taylor was a pioneering figure in Hollywood — a savvy businesswoman and a global icon whose life remained in the spotlight until her death. She passed away in 2011 at the age of 79, leaving behind four children and ten grandchildren.
Meet the legendary Academy Award winning actress’s grandsons and granddaughters — including one who shares her iconic violet eyes.
Laela Wilding
Born in 1971, Laela is the daughter of Elizabeth’s eldest son, Michael Wilding Jr., and Johanna Lykke-Dahn. She has built a life in Portland, Oregon, where she works as both a graphic designer and a yoga instructor.

Though many remember Elizabeth for her Hollywood legacy, Laela hopes people recognize a deeper truth about who she was.
“She was that person who saw injustice, and started talking about it and never stopped talking about it,” she said in an interview once, adding that her relevance today might not align with how most people picture her.

Naomi Wilding
Arriving five years after her sister, Naomi was born in 1976 and is the second grandchild of Elizabeth. She lives in Los Angeles, where she and her husband, Anthony Gran, run the Wilding Cran Gallery. She also dedicates time to the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation as an ambassador.

When asked what she values most about her grandmother’s legacy, Elizabeth pointed to her “humanitarian side,” sharing that she, too, is now an ambassador for the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.
Caleb Wilding
Born in 1983, Caleb is Elizabeth’s first grandson. He was adopted by Christopher Wilding and Aileen Getty that same year. Unlike some of his relatives, Caleb has stayed out of the public eye, though it’s been noted that he has a passion for motorcycles.

Lowell serves as an ambassador for the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation and also contributes as a production designer.

Speaking in a 2017 interview, he shared insight into his grandmother’s bold nature, “My grandmother wanted to go right for the jugular of the problem. She always wanted to do the hardest and most unlikely thing first.”
Richard McKeown
Richard is the son of Maria Burton, who was adopted by Elizabeth near the end of her marriage to Eddie Fisher. Maria later welcomed Richard with her former husband, Tom McKeown. Though not much is publicly known about him, Richard is active on Facebook and remains the most private among Elizabeth’s ten grandchildren.
Quinn Tivey
Born in 1986 to Liza Todd and artist Hap Tivey, Quinn has a background in film and television production and is also a working artist. Since 2016, he has served as a co-trustee of the Elizabeth Taylor Trust.

Fans have also taken notice of Quinn, especially for a striking feature he shares with his grandmother. “Quinn Tivey, grandchild of Elizabeth Taylor and the late Mike Todd. He’s got his grandma’s famous violet eyes!” one person wrote online.
Another observed, “He looks like his grandmother and has her eyes.” Others echoed the sentiment, “He has her eyes!!!!” and “You can definitely tell they’re related. He got her eyes. Props to him for continuing her good work.”
Honoring Her Legacy
Following Elizabeth’s death, Quinn and Tarquin were invited to take part in a memorial event that celebrated her life and activism. The outpouring of gratitude from those impacted by her work deeply moved them both.
Quinn later shared that the experience left a lasting impression and motivated him to get more involved, saying it revealed just how important it was for the family to carry her mission forward.
On the 30th anniversary of the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, Quinn penned an essay for People magazine. In it, he described her HIV/AIDS advocacy as a vital part of her life’s work and expressed pride in helping continue it. He added that, although the fight continues, he believes she would be proud to see the foundation’s ongoing efforts.
Carrying the Mission Forward
Though Elizabeth was one of the most recognizable women in the world, her family remains focused on preserving what mattered most to her. Naomi once acknowledged that future generations may not know who their grandmother was, but the goal is to use her name to bring continued attention to the HIV and AIDS crisis — an issue she championed tirelessly.
Tarquin echoed that sentiment, crediting their shared mission with strengthening family bonds. He described their family as “wacky, caring, sensitive people,” and expressed gratitude for the chance to honor Elizabeth’s generosity by working together to continue the legacy she left behind.
The family’s dedication to preserving Elizabeth’s legacy is rooted in the deep bonds she nurtured throughout her life. Though known for her stardom and international fame, the mother of four, who had been married eight times, always prioritized her loved ones.
According to Laela, family came before everything else. She once shared that their close-knit connection was a reflection of Elizabeth’s commitment to keeping them united—a value passed down through generations.
Elizabeth Taylor’s legacy lives on not only through her timeless work but also through the voices and actions of her grandchildren. Each one, in their own way, honors her memory — whether by carrying forward her advocacy, preserving her story, or simply remembering the woman behind the fame.
Their efforts ensure that her name continues to stand for compassion, strength, and family. Even years after her passing, Elizabeth’s presence remains powerfully felt.
