PEOPLE has reached out to a rep for Super Whip.

The National Institutes of Health says that “prolonged use of nitrous oxide can have disabling” neurological issues and conditions, including vitamin B12 deficiency. A B12 deficiency can “cause physical, neurological and psychological symptoms, says the Cleveland Clinic.

This isn’t the first time SZA has expressed concern about the effects of nitrous oxide.

In September 2024, she shared a post on X alongside a screenshot of search results for its long-term effects.

“Sorry to be old n annoying but.. Is no one gonna talk about how galaxy gas came out of no where and is being MASS marketed to black children? The government is doing NOTHING ? .. since when are we selling whip its at the store ???? Somebody protect the children,” she wrote at the time.

SZA is currently in the midst of her co-headlining U.S. stadium Grand National Tour with Kendrick Lamar, with whom she’s collaborated on several songs over the years.

The tour kicked off on April 19 in Minneapolis and will make stops in cities including Houston, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Chicago, Detroit, Toronto and more before wrapping June 18 in Washington, D.C.

Lamar, 37, and the “Saturn” performer previously hit the road together for The Championship Tour in 2018, alongside several other artists signed to the Top Dawg Entertainment record label at the time.
